Be here and now. Yoga is a wonderful tool we can use to reconnect with ourselves so that we can develop the skill of controlling ours lives. While we can’t control the traffic we drive in, or the expectations of our jobs, or the behavior of those around us, we can learn to control ourselves. Developing a sense of non-reaction, or even the ability to let something frustrating go in that very moment can help us to build a larger sense of peace and joy that we can carrry through our lives daily. Yoga helps us to achieve this by letting us be present from moment to moment within each pose we come to, we are not standing still in one position we a observing the movement and stillness of our bodies and our minds as we invite stress in.
I like to focus and personal exploration with each practice, each pose and each breathe. I try to assist students to find their own best variation of each pose along with a sense of joy and accomplishment that comes with persevering practice.
