New Location!

We have decided to stay at the Clover Leaf Rebekahs Building!  It has character, charm, and fulfills everything we are looking for in a location.  We are thrilled that it is so close to our previous location. The next few months will bring a bit of transformation to the space.  Slowly but surely we hope to update, build out, and revamp the place creating a vibe as lovely as what we had on Main Street.

Our new yoga home will be at 10116 NE 185th st, Bothell.

Parking is along 185th and free parking is located in the Bothell City Hall Building.

To relax and recharge, Glen and I went to a business conference in California last week.  You might not initially think a business conference would be so rejuvenating but hearing from other professionals about their struggles and successes helps put into perspective our current situation.  We learned all about industry trends, marketing and effective tools for building up our business again.

Bothell Fire: We will rise from the shes and fly from the flames

Three Years ago Glen and I opened up Leela Yoga with the hopes of creating a  warm, welcoming environment.  It wasn’t fancy but we were proud of the space we created and as a result the community that was formed.  On July 22, our hard work literally went up in flames. The Bothell fire was destructive for us on many levels. The immediate days following were filled with heart ache and loss. However, while it wiped out the studio we created, it has not destroyed our community. The support from students, friends, the Bothell community and the northwest yoga community has been amazing. You have helped steady our resolve and strive to continue Leela Yoga. In just 8 days we were able to resume classes in a new location  just two blocks away. While our intent is for this location to be temporary until we can find a new home, this beautiful building will allow us time to regroup and plan for the future of Leela Yoga.

Every year on the anniversary of our opening, we celebrate by offering free yoga to the community. This year is no different. Celebrate with us next Saturday, August 13th, 2016. The McMenamins in Bothell has graciously offered to host our anniversary celebration.  Our building has fallen, but Leela Yoga still stands. Come stand, fold, lunge and celebrate with us.

Classes Will resume on June 30th!

We are so incredibly thankful for the support we have received to get our business up and running again.  We would like to thank the Bothell community, our local yoga community and of course the support of our Leela Yoga family for helping us with this enormous endeavor. It is from this support that we were able to find a new location. We are very proud to announce we will be able to resume our FULL class schedule beginning on July, 30th at 9:30 am.

Our new yoga home will be at 10116 NE 185th st, Bothell at the Clover Leaf Building. It is yet to be determined whether this will be a temporary or long term solution.  For now it gives us space to get up and running and regroup.

Parking is along 185th and free parking is located in the Bothell City Hall Building.

Please join us this evening for the Bothell Block Party to help support all of the businesses impacted.

Bothell Fire: Our building falls but Leela Yoga Still Stands

It has been a tumultuous two days filled with a plethora of emotions and enormous outpouring of love and support. For those that haven’t heard, our studio has been lost to the Bothell fire and we are now left without a yoga home.  Despite our grief, my husband and I are working tirelessly to process the situation and piece together a solution for moving forward.  We are looking at all our options and will make the best decision for ourselves and for the community that has formed at our studio over the past three years. Please be patient as we form a plan.

The best way to stay updated on this plan is to follow our facebook page.  We will be posting throughout this transition to keep you in the loop, but for now, we don’t have the answers to most of your questions.

We want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out expressing their concern by dropping of flowers, donating money, or just offering a shoulder to lean on. We want to say thank you for being so willing to roll up your sleeves, offer your skills to rebuild and letting us know that you are here and just as committed to seeing this community survive as we are.  We will do our best to match your strength.

In Love and Light,

Lydia and Glen Lagrou
